Due to the current hot weather, our waste collection crews will be starting their rounds earlier than usual.
This change is to help protect the health and safety of our staff, who work in physically demanding conditions and are more at risk during high temperatures.
What this means for you:
Collections may take place earlier than you are used to, so putting bins out in advance will help avoid any missed collections.
Please ensure your bins are placed out for collection the night before your scheduled day, or no later than 6:00am.
Llanfoist and Five Lanes Reuse Shops are closed this week due to the extreme heat.
All Household Waste Recycling centres will be closed on Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June.
Red and purple reusable recycling bags
Our roll-out of reusable recycling bags is now complete! All households across the County are using the new service and we are no longer able to collect any recycling contained within single-use plastic bags.
It is really important that residents only include items that we can recycle…we recognise that plastics, for example, can be confusing! Information on what can and can’t be included can be found here.
